TI ConA induced suppressor cells in scrapie-infected mice

AB Lymphocyte suspensions prepared from the spleens of mice (LACG/COM) clinically affected with scrapie (ME7) were cultured for 48 hrs in the presence of Concanavalin (ConA) in order to induce suppressor cells. These cells behaved exactly as similarly prepared cells from normal age-matched mice in suppressing the response of fresh normal splenic lymphocytes to phytohaemagglutinin (PHA).
