AB Provided that a pandemic due to retroviruses or prions eventually transmitted by animals is under control, in accordance with the fundamental ethical rule to serve the best interest of the patient, any organ xenotransplantation raises an important ethical dilemma: how to deliver proper and adapted information to the patient on the preservation of his identity. Xenotransplantation of any part of the brain seems to us unethical.
