PT Article
AB The risk of human transmission may be linked to three distinct types of situation : professional risk of direct contamination from a diseased animal, either naturally or experimentally, of personnel working in abattoirs, veterinarians, laboratory scientists and technicians in contact with infected samples (in particular brain or spinal cord); food risk from consumption of infected tissue from a diseased animal because there is to date no effective sterilization technique; iatrogenic risk from administration of contaminated drugs or implanted biological material.
