TI TSE - das Phänomen und die Folgen

QU Fleischwirtschaft 2003 Jun 12; 83(6): 104-5

AB The appearance of Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy (BSE) was sort of a political scientific earthquake. Once again, agricultural primary production became apparently an important port of entry for biological as well as other agents into the food chain. The economical consequences were tremendous. Finally, the phenomenon triggered new scientific deal with a disease in humans and animals which had not yet been too much understood and which we do now call summarizing as transmissible spongiform encephalopathy (TSE). During the last years, we had strong measures, which we can already today expect to reach their task of cotrolling the disease.
